WAYNE, N.J. – The William Paterson women's soccer team (5-2-1, 0-2 NJAC) suffered a 2-0 loss to visiting No. 12/10 Rowan (9-0, 2-0 NJAC) Sept. 24.
The Profs broke the scoring open four minutes into the second half when sophomore back Ali Hicks played a long ball to sophomore forward Cathryn McCarry, who side-stepped the keeper and fired from five yards out.
Senior forward Maxine New later tucked a 15-yard attempt inside the right post, making it a 2-0 margin at the 54:05 mark.

Angela Sandelli (Landing, N.J./Roxbury) collected four saves for WP, and sophomore Shelby Money made one stop for Rowan's ninth shutout of the season.
The Pioneers will visit Ramapo Wednesday, Sept. 28, at 3:00 p.m.
