LaBruna Wins at First Singles but Tennis Suffers Team Loss to TCNJ

Pioneers Fall to Lions, 8-1

Senior Brittany LaBruna stayed perfect at first singles (5-0) with a 6-2, 6-3 victory.

WAYNE, N.J. – Senior Brittany LaBruna (Bloomingdale, N.J./Continental Academy) registered a victory at first singles but the William Paterson tennis team (0-5, 0-3 NJAC) dropped an 8-1 team decision to The College of New Jersey (6-1, 6-0 NJAC) Sept. 17.

LaBruna dropped sophomore Sneha Rangu to 6-2 overall and 5-1 at first singles with a 6-2, 6-3 decision. With the victory, LaBruna stayed perfect at first singles this season (5-0).

The Pioneers will play at Ramapo Wednesday, Sept. 21, at 4:00 p.m.
