WAYNE, N.J. – The William Paterson tennis team (0-4, 0-2 NJAC) suffered a 6-3 home loss against Rutgers-Newark (2-4, 1-2 NJAC) Sept. 16.
 
Senior Brittany LaBruna (Bloomingdale, N.J./Continental Academy) was a 6-1, 6-0 winner at first singles, while freshman Kaworu Ishikawa (Egg Harbor Twp., N.J./Egg Harbor Twp.) registered a 6-4, 6-1 second-singles victory. LaBruna and Ishikawa combined for an 8-0 victory at first doubles.
 
The Pioneers will host The College of New Jersey Saturday, Sept. 17, at 12:00 p.m.
