MADISON, N.J. – Freshman forward Carla LaRocca's (East Brunswick, N.J./East Brunswick) goal in the 63rd minute lifted the William Paterson women's soccer team (3-0-1) to a 1-0 victory Sept. 10 at FDU-Florham (1-2-2).
 
LaRocca finished the rebound of a Julia Bos (Midland Park, N.J./Midland Park) shot at the 62:50 mark for the lone goal of the night.
 
Sophomore goalkeeper Angela Sandelli (Landing, N.J./Roxbury) collected five saves for her second shutout of the season, while senior Annie George had four stops for the Devils.
 
The Pioneers will host Wilkes Wednesday, Sept. 14, at 7:00 p.m.
