NEWARK, N.J. – The William Paterson men's basketball team (10-12, 5-10 NJAC) dropped a 74-58 decision at Rutgers-Newark (16-6, 11-4 NJAC) Feb. 6.
Senior guard
Bright Mensah (Hackensack, N.J./Hackensack) scored a team-best 18 points, while senior guard
Terik Bridgeman (Harlem, N.Y./Nia Prep) had 17 tallies and 13 rebounds.
The Scarlet Raiders opened up a 40-21 halftime lead and shot 50.0 (27-54) percent overall while holding the Pioneers to 21-for-55 (.382) shooting from the field.
Senior guard John Snow led Rutgers-Newark with 25 points. Senior forward David Azoroh had 18 tallies and six rebounds, while sophomore guard Tyler Ofray pulled down 10 rebounds.
William Paterson will host Kean Wednesday, Feb. 10, at 8:00 p.m.
