ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. – The William Paterson men's swimming and diving team (10-6) triumphed in its last dual meet of the season, 89-62, at Bard (6-5) Feb. 13.
Sophomore
Anthony Taboadela (Rockaway, N.J./Morris Hills) capped his double win performance by setting a new WP record in the 100 IM (56.00). He also won the 50 back (26.14).
Senior
Gennaro Sirianni (North Bergen, N.J./North Bergen) claimed two victories as he won the one-meter (215.18) and three-meter (202.50) dives.
Junior
Nick Cowie (Newton, N.J./Newton) touched first in the 50 fly (24.31), and
Nicolai Robinson (Matawan, N.J./Old Bridge) won the 50 breast (30.74).
The Pioneers' 200 free relay team of Robinson, freshman
Drew Macchia (Chatham, N.J./Chatham), senior
James Kehoe (Wayne, N.J./DePaul Catholic) and freshman
Tyler Stevens (North Haledon, N.J./Passaic County Tech) finished first in a time of 1:37.57.
WP also placed first in the 200 medley relay (1:44.99) with Taboadela, Robinson, Cowie and junior
Jeremy Oiler (Hamilton, N.J./Nottingham) getting the job done for the Pioneers.
The Pioneers will compete at the Metropolitan Championships Feb. 19-21 at Rutgers University in Piscataway.
