WAYNE, N.J - Three Pioneers posted season-best times as the William Paterson women's swimming and diving team (6-0) raced past SUNY Maritime (0-1), 130-86, Nov. 1.
Senior
Vera Blazevska (Wayne, N.J./Wayne Valley) helped lead WP to its sixth straight team victory as a personal triple winner, posting a career-best time in the 500 free (5:44.11) in addition to finishing first in the 100 breast (1:11.05) and 200 IM (2:27.45).
Sophomore
Casey Murphy (Hardyston, N.J./Wallkill Valley Regional) used an impressive comeback to secure the 1,000 free (12:26.73) and also won the 200 free (2:13.59).
Senior diver
Courtney Lawler (Northfield, N.J./Mainland Regional) was another double winner, posting high scores in the one-meter (202.95) and three-meter (165.28) dives.
Freshman
Janice Costa (Clifton, N.J/Bergen Arts and Science) posted a personal best in the 100 free (1:02.31), and sophomore
Quinn Reynolds (Delran, N.J./Delran) won the 100 back behind a season-best time (1:04.45).
Sophomore
Christianne Joyce Pineda (Haskell, N.J./Hackensack) rounded out WP's single winners by touching first in the 100 fly (1:07.35).
William Paterson's next meet is at Staten Island, Tuesday, Nov. 8, at 6:00 p.m.
