WAYNE, N.J. – Sisters
Courtney Lawler (Northfield, N.J/Mainland Regional) and
Ashley Lawler (Northfield, N.J./Mainland Regional) set the William Paterson synchronized one-meter diving record with a score of 158.15 as the WP women's swimming and diving team (3-0) defeated FDU-Florham (0-3), 78-63, Oct. 22.
The previous synchronized one-meter diving record was 157.05, set during the 2015-16 season by
Courtney Lawler and
Hannah Hillebrand.
Courtney Lawler would also win the one-meter dive (200.80).
Senior
Vera Blazevska (Wayne, N.J./Wayne Valley) and sophomore
Quinn Reynolds (Delran, N.J/Delran) won two events apiece.
Blazevska touched first in the 500 free (5:45.74) and 100 breast (1:10.86), while Reynolds bested the competition in the 50 free (26.95) and 100 back (1:05.11).
Sophomore
Christianne Joyce Pineda (Haskell, N.J./Hackensack) won the 100 fly (1:07.88), and senior
Cassandra Beck (Lusby, Md./Patuxtent) prevailed in the 200 IM (2:40.57) to round out WP's individual victories.
Reynolds, freshman
Mariah Jenkins (Brooklyn, N.Y./St. Saviour), freshman
Anna Boyton (Sewell, N.J./Clearview Regional) and freshman
Nicole Mitchell (Sussex, N.J./Vernon Twp.) secured the 200 medley relay (2:04.78).
William Paterson will travel to Baruch Tuesday, Oct. 25, at 6:00 p.m.
