DALLAS, PA. – The William Paterson field hockey team (6-7) stumbled at Misericordia (3-10), 2-1 in overtime, Oct. 12.
Junior forward Colby Eldridge finished a Melanie Fry pass in the 27th minute to hand the Cougars a 1-0 lead.
Freshman forward
Michaela Meillier (Mt. Laurel, N.J./Holy Cross) tied things up for the Pioneers with an unassisted strike at the 46:16 mark.
Misericordia tallied the game winner 2:38 into the overtime session when freshman forward Maddie Keegan scored off an assist from Eldridge.
Sophomore
Mallory Rickerhauser (Lumberton, N.J./Rancocas Valley Regional) finished with five saves for the Pioneers, and senior midfielder
Meghin Stanton (Chesterfield, N.J./Northern Burlington Regional) added a defensive save. Freshman Katelyn Campbell made four stops for the Cougars.
The Pioneers will visit Stevens Saturday, Oct. 15, at 1:00 p.m.
