Alisa Giordano (Wood-Ridge, N.J./Wood-Ridge) drained a layup off an inbounds play as time expired to get WP to within one at halftime, 39-38.
A three-pointer by senior guard
Brittany Harden (Millville, N.J./Sacred Heart) to open the third quarter briefly made it a 41-39 Pioneer lead, and a
Jackie Rodriguez (Sayreville, N.J./Sayreville War Memorial) trey pushed it to 44-41 with 9:01 left. Rowan responded by putting together a 13-2 run, the last four points coming from sophomore Summer Crilley (54-46, 3:58), and stretched the lead to as many as 26 during the fourth quarter (81-55, 3:29).
Harden collected 14 points, six rebounds and five assists, while senior forward
Sadi Bridgeman (Washington Heights, N.Y./Mother Cabrini) finished with a career-best 11 tallies.
Junior Anyssa Sanchez collected 14 points and seven rebounds for the Profs, and graduate student Melissa Lake had 13 tallies and eight boards.
William Paterson will play at The College of New Jersey Saturday, Jan. 16, at 3:00 p.m.
