Box Score Video Highlights WAYNE, N.J. – The William Paterson tennis team (1-6, 1-4 NJAC) was upended by visiting Kean (5-3, 1-3 NJAC), 6-3, on Senior Day Sept. 30.
Junior
Brittany LaBruna (Bloomingdale, N.J./Continental Academy) and senior
Summer Bernales (Jersey City, N.J./Dickinson) were 8-1 winners at first doubles against sophomore Naylah Hinton and senior Brianna Martin, while freshmen
Gerianna Dauber (Weehawken, N.J./Northville) and
Jessica Papin-Yukhtanova (Newton, N.J./Newton) posted an 8-4 third-doubles victory against freshman Emily Kopp and senior Christy Verdi.
LaBruna also registered a 6-1, 6-1 win against Hinton at first singles.
Prior to the match, the Pioneers honored seniors Bernales and
Jesenia Fernandez (Passaic, N.J./Passaic).
William Paterson will play at Rutgers-Camden Saturday, Oct. 3, at 12:00 p.m.
