GLENSIDE, PA. – Senior midfielder
McKenna Reynolds (Delran, N.J./Delran) and sophomore forward
Carly Satter (Branchville, N.J./High Point Regional) provided the goals as the William Paterson field hockey team (5-4) registered a 2-1 victory at Arcadia (4-5) Sept. 30.
Reynolds handed the Pioneers a 1-0 edge less than nine minutes into the contest, cleaning up a scramble by knocking senior forward
Angelica Giammetta's (Wayne, N.J./Wayne Hills) pass off the right post and into the cage.
The Knights tied the game up in the 51st minute as senior Taylor Dalisera scored from the top of the circle off a penalty corner.
Satter provided the game winner at the 59:49 mark, tipping in a pass at the center of the goal from junior midfielder
Elizabeth Kerr (Maple Shade, N.J./Maple Shade).
Senior goalie
Meg Davies' (Havertown, Pa./Haverford) six saves were aided by a
Meghin Stanton (Chesterfield, N.J./Northern Burlington Regional) defensive save, and senior Mia DePlato finished with five stops for Arcadia.
William Paterson will open New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) play at Kean Saturday, Oct. 3, at 1:00 p.m.
