DANBURY, CONN. – Senior midfielder Felicia Wetzel (Point Pleasant, N.J./Wallkill Valley Regional) scored in the 53rd minute and senior goalie Meg Davies (Havertown, Pa./Haverford) had three saves for the shutout as the William Paterson field hockey team (4-4) secured a 1-0 victory at Western Connecticut (3-4) Sept. 23.
 
Wetzel contributed her second goal of the season, breaking through the right side and drilled a low shot under the goalie's pads at the 52:51 mark.
 
Junior Kristy Trotta's 15 stops were helped by two Colonial defensive saves as WP built a 25-5 shot advantage.
 
William Paterson will visit Arcadia Monday, Sept. 28, at 7:00 p.m.
