NEWARK, N.J. – All six Pioneers were double winners as the William Paterson tennis team (1-2, 1-1 NJAC) registered a 9-0 sweep at Rutgers-Newark (0-3, 0-1 NJAC) Sept. 14.
 
Junior Brittany LaBruna (Bloomingdale, N.J./Continental Academy) was a 6-0, 6-0 winner at first singles for the third time this season, while senior Summer Bernales (Jersey City, N.J./Dickinson) posted a 4-6, 7-5, 11-9 victory at second singles. Freshman Gerianna Dauber (Weehawken, N.J./Northville) earned a 6-2, 6-1 third-singles win, and sophomore Brianna Boyd (Delran, N.J./Delran) finished with a 6-1, 6-2 victory at fourth singles. Freshman Jessica Papin-Yukhtanova (Newton, N.J./Newton) posted a 6-0, 6-3 win at fifth singles, while sophomore Sam Uribe (Paterson, N.J./Passaic County Tech) had a 6-1, 6-0 victory at sixth singles.
 
LaBruna and Dauber compiled an 8-0 win at first doubles, Bernales and Boyd were 8-4 winners at second doubles, and Uribe and Papin-Yukhtanova earned an 8-0 victory at third doubles.
 
William Paterson will visit The College of New Jersey Saturday, Sept. 19, at 1:00 p.m.
