POMONA, N.J. – The William Paterson men's soccer team (2-3) suffered a 2-0 loss against RPI (5-0) Sept. 12 in the second round of the Stockton Seashore Classic.
 
Junior back Andrew Gondek headed in senior back Paul Lentine's corner kick in the 14th minute to give RPI a 1-0 lead, and junior midfielder Devon Baughen scored unassisted at the 72:55 mark on a partial breakaway.
 
Freshman Mike Villegas (Bergenfield, N.J./Pascack Valley) made two saves for the Pioneers, and sophomore Ryan Nealon collected two stops for RPI.
 
William Paterson will play Manhattanville in its home opener Wednesday, Sept. 16, at 7:00 p.m.
