MADISON, N.J. – Senior midfielder
McKenna Reynolds (Delran, N.J./Delran) found the back of the cage twice, but the William Paterson field hockey team (0-1) dropped its season opener at FDU-Florham (1-0), 5-2, Sept. 1.
Senior Alicia Grotyohann gave the Devils a 1-0 lead in the 23rd minute, knocking the ball in from just in front of the goal. She scored off her own rebound for her second goal of the night at the 42:23 mark, and less than 90 seconds later FDU-Florham's Kim Davis converted from the left side of the cage.
