Men's Swimming and Diving Races Past Mount Saint Mary, 150-77

Taboadela a Triple Winner for Pioneers

Junior Nick Cowie won the 100 fly (54.81) and the 200 IM (2:14.84).
WAYNE, N.J. - The William Paterson men's swimming and diving team (5-2) defeated Mount Saint Mary (4-3), 150-77, Dec. 5.

The Pioneers benefitted from triple winner sophomore Anthony Taboadela (Rockaway, N.J./Morris Hills), as he won the 200 free (1:51.77), 100 breast (1:10.91) and 100 back (57.02).

Double winner junior Nick Cowie (Newton, N.J./Newton) touched first in the 100 fly (54.81) and 200 IM (2:14.84).

Freshman Drew Macchia (Chatham, N.J./Chatham) won the 50 free with a time of 22.95.

The Pioneers captured both diving events as junior Kenny Kneitel (Paramus, N.J./Paramus) claimed the one-meter dive (203.32), and senior Gennaro Sirianni (North Bergen, N.J./North Bergen) won the three-meter dive (232.20).

The Pioneers will travel to Purchase Wednesday, Dec. 9, at 7:00 p.m.
