QUEENS, N.Y. – The William Paterson tennis team (1-7) suffered an 8-1 loss to Baruch (8-0) Oct. 6 at York (N.Y.) College.
 
Junior Brittany LaBruna (Bloomingdale, N.J./Continental Academy) was a 9-8 (7-5) winner against Allie Jackson-Hing at first singles. The teams played eight-game pro sets for the singles matches due to a lack of lights at the facility.
 
William Paterson will celebrate Pioneer Pride Week with giveaways for WP students Thursday, Oct. 8, when the Pioneers host Staten Island at 4:00 p.m.
