NEWARK, N.J. – The William Paterson men's soccer team (4-6-2, 1-3-1 NJAC) dropped a 1-0 decision at Rutgers-Newark (12-3-1, 4-1-1 NJAC) Oct. 14.
 
Junior Anthony DeRisi scored the match's lone goal via a free kick in the 18th minute.
 
Senior Nico Martirano (Madison, N.J./Madison) made six saves for the Pioneers, and senior Matt Broomall posted seven stops for the Scarlet Raiders.
 
William Paterson will host Rowan Saturday, Oct. 17, at 1:00 p.m.
