Sophomore all-American Brittany LaBruna was a 6-2, 6-1 winner at first singles against Farmingdale State, and posted an 8-2 victory at first doubles with Kristy Daubert.

WAYNE, N.J. – The William Paterson tennis team (0-1) dropped a 7-2 decision against visiting Farmingdale State (2-0) during its 2014-15 season opener Sept. 6.

Sophomore all-American Brittany LaBruna (Bloomingdale, N.J./Continental Academy) defeated Jessica Sickles at first singles, 6-2, 6-1. LaBruna and senior Kristy Daubert (Cranford, N.J./Cranford) also earned an 8-2 win at first doubles against Sickles and Alex Bentz.

William Paterson will start New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) play Monday, Sept. 8, at Ramapo at 4:00 p.m.
