Box Score Video Highlights WAYNE, N.J. – The William Paterson volleyball team (12-0, 2-0 NJAC) rallied to keep its perfect record intact, defeating visiting Rutgers-Camden (4-11, 0-2 NJAC), 25-21, 20-25, 25-20, 8-25, 15-13 Sept. 23.
A service error and attack error broke a 13-13 deadlock and ended the match in the Pioneers' favor. Senior middle hitter
Shauna VanDeRee (Waldwick, N.J./Waldwick) posted 11 digs and a team-high 14 kills, while sophomore outside hitter
Erin Roach (Clark, N.J./Union County Vo-Tech) contributed 10 kills and a team-best 19 digs. Senior setter
Danielle Koukos (Midland Park, N.J./Midland Park) had 40 assists and 10 digs, senior outside hitter
Daniella Salemo (Ramsey, N.J./Ramsey) finished with 11 kills and 14 digs, and junior outside hitter/opposite hitter
Nicole Spicer (Whiting, N.J./Manchester Twp.) collected 16 digs. Junior outside hitter
Michelle Merida (Parsippany, N.J./Parsippany) added 11 digs.
Junior middle hitter Olivia Rowland led all players with 15 kills, sophomore libero Melanie Kaiser tallied 29 digs and sophomore setter Nancy Brown had 27 assists.
William Paterson will play at Ramapo Thursday, Sept. 25, at 7:00 p.m.
