Tournament Information PageWP's NJAC Tournament Game Notes WAYNE, N.J. – Top-seeded and 17th-ranked William Paterson (29-8, 13-5 NJAC) will host fifth-seeded Richard Stockton (21-14, 9-9 NJAC) in an elimination game of the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Softball Tournament Friday, May 2, at 11:00 a.m.

As the top seed, WP will host the remainder of the tournament that runs through Sunday, May 4, at Pioneer Softball Field.
The Pioneers are coming off a 5-4 loss against sixth-seeded Rutgers-Camden (18-14-1, 9-9 NJAC) in the first round May 1. Earlier this season, William Paterson split a home doubleheader with Stockton, 4-1 and 0-2, April 12.

Katelyn Miele (Flanders, N.J./Pope John XXIII), a four-time all-conference selection (2014, 2013 All-First Teams; 2012, 2011 All-Second Teams) and two-time all-region pick (2013 All-First Team, 2012 All-Second Team), leads WP with a .408 average, .447 on-base percentage, 49 hits, 29 RBI and five triples, adding 25 runs scored and a .567 slugging percentage. icole Fryer (East Stroudsburg, Pa./East Stroudsburg South) is hitting . with 18 RBI and two home runs, and owns the team lead with 27 runs scored. First-team all-NJAC sophomore outfielder
Kelsey Wimmershoff (Park Ridge, N.J./Park Ridge) holds a .347 average with 21 RBI, while contributing a team-high .627 slugging percentage, 10 doubles and three home runs.

Gabrielle Castelli (Cedar Grove, N.J./Cedar Grove) has a team-best 12 wins (12-2, sixth in NJAC) to go along with a 1.32 ERA and 65 strikeouts in 79.1 innings pitched, holding opposing batters to a .218 in 19 appearances (seven starts). Classmate
Allison Podmajersky (Red Bank, N.J./Middletown South), the March 24 and April 14 NJAC Rookie Pitcher of the Week, owns an 8-5 record, 1.42 ERA and 80 strikeouts in 93.1 innings while holding batters to a .212 average in 15 starts and 18 appearances. Sophomore
Chelsea Batelli (Wayne, N.J./DePaul Catholic) is 6-1 with a 1.29 ERA (eighth in league) in 10 appearances (eight starts).
A year ago, William Paterson lost its first two games in the NJAC Tournament. The Pioneers have won four NJAC Tournament titles (1999, 2003, 2005, 2009).
