UNION, N.J. – Sixth-seeded William Paterson (18-10) fell at third-seeded Kean (17-17), 25-15, 25-9, 25-11, in the first round of the 2014 New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Volleyball Tournament Nov. 4.
Senior middle hitter
Shauna VanDeRee (Waldwick, N.J./Waldwick) paced WP with eight kills, adding seven digs, while junior outside hitter/opposite hitter
Nicole Spicer (Whiting, N.J./Manchester Twp.) had a team-best nine digs. Senior setters
Danielle Koukos (Midland Park, N.J./Midland Park) and
Alaina Clark (Paramus, N.J./Paramus) each posted nine assists. Senior outside hitter
Daniella Salemo (Ramsey, N.J./Ramsey) chipped in eight digs.
Kassie Hernandez led the Cougars with 15 kills and 14 digs. Alana Aranjo dished 39 assists.
