WAYNE, N.J. – The William Paterson men's swimming & diving team (8-3, 0-2 NJAC) defeated visiting Lehman (5-3), 144-94, Jan. 23.
Senior
Jeffrey Jaeckel (Kenilworth, N.J./David Brearley) broke two school records with scores of 300.38 in the one-meter dive and 302.55 in the three-meter dive.
Senior
Troy Buglio (Toms River, N.J./Toms River East) was a double winner for the Pioneers, touching first in the 200 (1:54.39) and 500 (5:16.56) frees.
Sophomore
Eric Tracey (Newton, N.J./Kittatinny Regional) finished first in the 50 (23.28) and 100 (51.51) frees.
Junior
Evan Marine (Forked River, N.J./Lacey Twp.) recorded a winning time of 2:11.83 in the 200 IM.
During the meet, the Pioneers honored Buglio, Jaeckel,
Nikolas Frey (Hackensack, N.J./Hackensack) and
Corey Matthews (Toms River, N.J./Toms River North) on Senior Day.
William Paterson will travel to Bard on Saturday, Jan. 25, at 1:00 p.m.
