Volleyball Drops 3-0 Decision at Kean

Pioneers Suffer First Conference Loss

Junior Daniella Salemo had eight kills and a match-best 13 digs at Kean.

Box Score UNION, N.J. – William Paterson (10-2, 1-1 NJAC) dropped a 3-0 volleyball decision at Kean (11-2, 2-0 NJAC) Sept. 24.

Junior outside hitter Daniella Salemo (Ramsey, N.J./Ramsey) collected eight kills and 13 digs, freshman outside hitter Mary Long (Morristown, N.J./Morristown) had eight kills, 11 digs and four service aces, and junior middle hitter Shauna VanDeRee (Waldwick, N.J./Waldwick) posted eight kills. Junior setter Danielle Koukos (Midland Park, N.J./Midland Park) chipped in 22 assists.

Kean was led by Aysia Peterson's 13 kills. Elizabeth DeGroot had nine digs and Alana Aranjo finished with 31 assists.

William Paterson will host Rowan Thursday, Sept. 26, at 7:00 p.m.
