Box Score 2 MORRISTOWN, N.J. – The William Paterson volleyball team (7-0) remained perfect with a 3-2 victory against host Saint Elizabeth (5-4) and a 3-0 win against Rosemont (0-6) Sept. 14.
After winning the first set, 25-23, the Pioneers dropped the next two, 24-26 and 23-25, against CSE. WP bounced back with 25-11 and 15-10 victories to win the match. Junior outside hitter
Daniella Salemo (Ramsey, N.J./Ramsey) paced the Pioneers with 15 kills, adding 12 digs, while freshman outside hitter
Mary Long (Morristown, N.J./Morristown) had 13 kills and a match-best 21 digs. Senior outside hitter
Amanda Morales (Lyndhurst, N.J./Lyndhurst) collected 16 digs, junior setter
Danielle Koukos (Midland Park, N.J./Midland Park) posted 27 assists and nine digs, and junior middle hitter
Shauna VanDeRee (Waldwick, N.J./Waldwick) and freshman outside hitter
Erin Roach (Clark, N.J./Union County Vo-Tech) each contributed 10 digs.
The Pioneers defeated Rosemont is straight sets, 25-7, 25-6, 25-8. Long was the leader in kills with nine, VanDeRee had eight kills and a match-best 10 digs, and Koukos produced 24 assists.
William Paterson will host St. Joseph's-Long Island Tuesday, Sept. 17, at 7:00 p.m.
