MORRISTOWN, N.J. – The William Paterson tennis team (9-3) finished its 2012-13 season with a 9-0 sweep at Saint Elizabeth (1-9) April 23.  The nine victories are the most for the Pioneers during the nine seasons since the sport was reinstated on campus in 2004 (6-6, 2011-12).

Senior Christina Puleo (Leonia, N.J./Leonia) was a 6-0, 6-0 winner against Maame Quainoo at first singles, and sophomore Jessica Daniels (Edison, N.J./Edison) had a 1-6, 6-2, 10-7 second-singles victory against Chiamaka Nwangwu.  Classmate Kristy Daubert (Cranford, N.J./Cranford) defeated Amy Cooper at third singles, 1-6, 6-0, 10-3, and junior Mary Skretkowicz (Midland Park, N.J./Midland Park) registered a 6-0, 6-0 win at fourth singles against Brianne Clarke.  Junior Fallon Conry (Sayreville, N.J./Sayreville War Memorial) had a 6-0, 6-0 fifth-singles victory against Emmanuella Dorcent, while freshman Summer Bernales (Jersey City, N.J./Dickinson) was a 6-0, 6-0 winner against D'ara Wade at sixth singles.

Puleo and Dauubert posted an 8-0 victory against Quainoo and Clarke at first doubles, Daniels and Skretkowicz teamed up for an 8-0 win at second doubles against Nwangwu and Cooper, and Conry and Bernales defeated Dorcent and Georgine Alexis at third doubles, 8-0.
