WAYNE, N.J. – The William Paterson men's swimming & diving team (6-1) defeated visiting Mount Saint Mary (3-4), 121-81, Dec. 7.
The Pioneers had four double winners. Senior
Jeffrey Jaeckel (Kenilworth, N.J./David Brearley) won the one-meter dive (245.60) and set a new school record in the three-meter dive with a score of 267.50. Classmate
Troy Buglio (Toms River, N.J./Toms River East) touched first in the 200 (1:58.71) and 500 (5:24.16) frees.
Sophomore
Eric Tracey (Newton, N.J./Kittatinny Regional) placed first in the 50 (23.65) and 100 (52.08) frees, and junior
Evan Marine (Forked River, N.J./Lacey Twp.) took first in the 200 IM (2:11.16) and 100 back (59.26).
Freshman
Nick Cowie (Newton, N.J./Newton) finished first in the 100 fly (57.36), and classmate
Jason Leung (Fair Lawn, N.J./Fair Lawn) won the 100 breast in 1:09.70.
Freshman
Jeremy Oiler (Hamilton, N.J./Nottingham) recorded a personal-best time of 11:06.16 to win the 1,000 free.
William Paterson will travel to Adelphi on Wednesday, Dec. 11, at 6:00 p.m.
