WAYNE, N.J. – The William Paterson volleyball team (20-6) registered its 20th victory of the season with a 3-1 triumph against Cedar Crest (9-12) Oct. 29 at the Rec Center.
The Pioneers won the first two sets, 25-17 and 25-20, and owned a 20-15 lead in the third before a 10-3 Falcon run resulted in a 25-23 Cedar Crest victory. WP rebounded to take the decisive fourth set, 25-14.
Junior outside hitter
Daniella Salemo (Ramsey, N.J./Ramsey) led William Paterson with 19 kills and 14 digs, while freshman outside hitter
Mary Long (Morristown, N.J./Morristown) collected 14 kills and 11 digs. Junior setter
Danielle Koukos (Midland Park, N.J./Midland Park) had 36 assists and three aces, senior outside hitter
Amanda Morales (Lyndhurst, N.J./Lyndhurst) posted 12 digs and six kills, and freshman outside hitter
Erin Roach (Clark, N.J./Union County Vo-Tech) had a double-double with 10 kills and 10 digs.
Junior Kiersten Collins led the Falcons with 12 kills, freshman Celina Danish dished 30 assists and sophomore Ericka Clayton finished with 26 digs.
William Paterson will celebrate Senior Night Thursday, Oct. 31, when the Pioneers host Ramapo at 7:00 p.m.
