GLASSBORO, N.J. – William Paterson fell to 1-1 overall, dropping its New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) football season opener at Rowan (2-1, 1-0 NJAC), 51-0, Sept. 14.
The Profs found the end zone on each of its first three possessions, scoring six times in total to take a 37-0 lead into halftime. Two more touchdowns to open the third quarter finished the scoring for Rowan.

German Decena (Union City, N.J./Emerson) and senior linebacker
Clifton Glaze (Palmyra, N.J./Palmyra) led the WP defense with 10 tackles each. Senior cornerback
Adam Curry (Sayreville, N.J./Sayreville War Memorial) and senior free safety
Javon Hodges (Parlin, N.J./Sayreville War Memorial) each made seven stops.
Junior quarterback
Ryan Gresik (Newton, N.J./Newton) finished 8-for-16 for 57 yards and an interception. Senior tailback
Dawys German (North Arlington, N.J./North Arlington) rushed 16 times for 29 yards, and caught three passes for 10 yards. Senior wide receiver
Alex Price (Newton, N.J./Newton) had the longest reception with a 20-yard catch.
Louie Bianchini completed 15 of 20 passes for 207 yards and four touchdowns for RU. Matt Dortch rushed 14 times for 103 yards and a score, and Ed Eisenhart caught five passes for 85 yards and three TDs. Dominic Caruso paced the Prof defense with nine tackles, and Patrick Ruley had six stops.
William Paterson will celebrate Homecoming Saturday, Sept. 22, when the Pioneers host Montclair State at 12:00 p.m.
