WAYNE, N.J. – William Paterson (3-1, 1-1 NJAC) opened its home tennis schedule with a 6-3 victory against Rutgers-Camden (2-2, 1-2 NJAC) Sept. 12.

Jessica Daniels (Edison, N.J./Edison) and junior
Mary Skretkowicz (Midland Park, N.J./Midland Park) battled all the way back from a 1-7 deficit for a 9-7 victory against Avery Forte and Kelly Bates at third doubles. That match helped WP sweep the doubles efforts, as senior
Christina Puleo (Leonia, N.J./Leonia) and junior
Samantha Miller (West Keansburg, N.J./Raritan) were 8-2 winners against Amanda Hickman and Morgan Kelly at first, and junior
Lauren Abate (Wayne, N.J./Wayne Hills) and sophomore
Kristy Daubert (Cranford, N.J./Cranford) posted an 8-2 victory against Jordan Crawley and Katy Read at second.
Miller got past Kelly at second singles, 6-1, 6-1, and Abate earned a 7-5, 6-1 victory against Crawley at third. Daniels was a 6-0, 6-3 winner at fourth singles against Forte.
William Paterson will host The College of New Jersey Saturday, Sept. 15, at 11:00 a.m.
