MONTCLAIR, N.J. – The William Paterson men's swimming and diving team (8-6, 0-4 NJAC) dropped a 157.5-128.5 decision at Montclair State (5-8, 1-3 NJAC) Feb. 4.
Sophomore
Jeffrey Jaeckel (Kenilworth, N.J./David Brearley) won the one-meter (148.30) and three-meter (219.95) dives, and classmate
Jason Koros (Mays Landing, N.J./Oakcrest) touched first in the 100 (56.38) and 200 (2:00.07) backs.
Sophomore
Alex Carpenter (Jackson, N.J./Jackson Memorial) had a personal-best time of 2:12.39 to place second in the 200 fly, and senior
Edward Zappile (Oak Ridge, N.J./Jefferson Twp.) posted season-best times of 5:07.09 in the 500 free and 10:36.77 in the 1,000 free to touch second.
Junior
Sebastian Schrils (Washington, N.J./Warren Hills Regional) registered second-place finishes in the 50 free (23.28), 100 free (52.76) and 100 fly (57.05).
William Paterson will compete at the Metropolitan Championships Feb. 17-19 at Rutgers.
