Pioneers, Devils to Play Friday Night at 7:00 p.m.

William Paterson (4-5, 2-5 NJAC) will visit Farleigh Dickenson UniveristyFlorham (2-7, 2-6 MAC) for its season finale Friday, Nov. 16.  Kickoff at Robert T. Scouting the Pioneers 
William Paterson is 4-5 overall and 2-5 in the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) following a 37-16 win against Western Connecticut (1-8, 1-7 NJAC) Nov. 10.  

Junior Ryan Gresik (Newton, N.J./Newton) is 154-for-257 for 1,865 yards, 13 touchdowns and six interceptions under center.  He ranks fourth in the league in passing average (207.2 yards/game) and total offense (219.9 yards/game).
 
Sophomore running back Isaac Jlaka (Phillipsburg, N.J./Phillipsburg) has 63 attempts for 384 yards and three scores.

Junior wide receiver Mick Paye (Lumberton, N.J./Rancocas Valley Regional) leads the Pioneers with 36 receptions, 522 yards and four touchdown catches.  Senior tight end Joseph Cordato (Bayonne, N.J./Bayonne) has caught 27 passes for 274 yards and a TD, and junior wide receiver Howard Davis (Franklin Park, N.J./Franklin) has 21 catches for 269 yards and three touchdowns.
 
Senior bandit German Decena (Union City, N.J./Emerson) owns 70 tackles (32 solo; 7.8 tackles/game, tied-ninth in NJAC), a fumble recovery and a 70-yard interception return for a score (at Maritime, Sept. 29).  Senior linebacker Clifton Glaze (Palmyra, N.J./Palmyra) has 68 stops (17 solo, 2.5 TFL) and an interception, and senior free safety Javon Hodges (Parlin, N.J./Sayreville War Memorial) has recorded 47 tackles (22 solo, 4.5 TFL).  Junior Andre Snead (Atlantic City, N.J./Atlantic City) has tallied 34 tackles (23 solo) and a pair of interceptions, one of which was taken back 33 yards for a touchdown (at Morrisville State, Oct. 20), and senior cornerback Adam Curry (Sayreville, N.J./Sayreville War Memorial) has made 51 stops (33 solo, 1.5 TFL).

An honorable-mention all-league selection last year, sophomore placekicker Robert Sinegra (Wharton, N.J./Morris Knolls) is 19-for-21 on PATs and 5-for-12 on field-goal attempts.  Junior wide receiver Julian Frazier (Plainfield, N.J./North Plainfield) has been pressed into punting duties due to an injury suffered by all-NJAC honoree Cory Mundt (Rockaway, N.J./Morris Hills), and Frazier is averaging 37.1 yards per attempt.  Hodges is averaging 12.2 yards per punt return, good for first in the league, and Jlaka is averaging 14.7 yards per kickoff return.

William Paterson returned nine offensive starters and eight defensive starters from a 2011 team that finished 4-6 overall and 3-6 in New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) play.  The Pioneers, who welcomed back 54 letterwinners and five all-conference selections, were predicted to finish sixth in the 2011 NJAC Preseason Coaches Poll.

Scouting the Devils
FDU-Florham is 2-7 overall and 2-6 in the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) after a 13-28 loss at Stevenson University (2-8, 2-7 MAC) Nov. 10.  The Devils are coached by Brian Surace.
    
Freshman quarterback Anthony Ognibene is 26-for-55 for 211 yards and three touchdowns through the air, adding 105 yards and two touchdowns on the ground.
    
Freshman running back Craig Kimbrough leads the Devils with 414 rushing yards on 78 carries and two touchdowns, with 24 receptions for 176 yards and two touchdowns.  Senior running back Jon Bennett has tallied eight scores, four rushing (43 carries, 243 yards) and four receiving (19 catches, 314 yards).  Junior wide receiver Anthony Fruncillo leads FDU with 28 catches for 426 yards and a score and classmate Bryan Soletto has 23 catches for 200 yards and four touchdowns.

Junior linebacker Mike Mancino leads the Devils with 116 tackles (45 solo, 2.0 TFL) adding an interception and fumble recoveries, and senior linebacker Charlie Thomas has 79 stops (34 solo, 3.0 TFL).  Freshman linebacker Kevin Daly has a team-best three sacks (24 tackles, 5.0 TFL), and sophomore defensive back Mickey Weiks paces FDU with two interceptions and three fumbles forced. 

Junior Dan DiProfio has averaged 32.9 yards per punt, and  senior Travis Mullen is 12-for-14 on PATs and 3-4 on field-goals.  Sophomore James Ognibene is averaging 22.2 yards on 39 kickoff returns.
