Pioneers Celebrate Senior Day with Victory

WAYNE, N.J. – The William Paterson women's swimming and diving team (9-4, 0-2 NJAC) celebrated Senior Day with a 71-54 victory against Post (0-3) Jan. 28.

Freshman Sheri Brino (Ogdensburg, N.J./Wallkill Valley Regional) was a double winner, touching first in the 200 (2:14.06) and 500 (5:50.14) frees.  Junior Taylor McKay (Fair Lawn, N.J./Fair Lawn) posted a victory in the 1,650 free (20:51.82), and sophomore Lauren Carney (East Brunswick, N.J./East Brunswick) won the 100 back (1:07.97).

Prior to the meet, the Pioneers honored seniors Jaimie Hinshelwood (Forked River, N.J./Lacey Twp.), Brett Kuchin (Cherry Hill, N.J./Cherry Hill East), Lesly Mendoza (Passaic, N.J./Paramus Catholic) and Stephanie Smith (West Orange, N.J./West Orange).

WP will compete at Ramapo Tuesday, Jan. 31, at 6:00 p.m.
