WAYNE, N.J. – Reigning New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Player of the Week
Kim Runge (Closter, N.J./Northern Valley Regional-Demarest) had a double-double to lead William Paterson (4-0) to a 25-11, 25-11, 25-20 victory against Brooklyn (0-1) in the Pioneers' volleyball home opener Sept. 6.
Runge posted 19 kills and 12 digs while hitting .319, adding three service aces, while fellow senior outside hitter
Megan Maher (Wood-Ridge, N.J./Wood-Ridge) contributed seven kills, three aces and six digs. Junior setter
Liz Dykhouse (Wanaque, N.J./Lakeland Regional) collected 17 assists, freshman
Danielle Koukos (Midland Park, N.J./Midland Park) tallied 12 assists, and junior libero
Michelle Mitchell (Secaucus, N.J./Secaucus) had seven digs.
Jillian Escobar led the Bulldogs with five kills, adding nine digs. Maritza Morency posted team bests of nine assists and 11 digs.
William Paterson will visit Centenary Thursday, Sept. 8, at 5:30 p.m.
