ALLENTOWN, PA. – William Paterson (3-0) earned a pair of victories at the Cedar Crest tri-match Sept. 3, defeating Saint Elizabeth (0-2), 25-22, 25-23, 25-23, and the host Falcons (1-2), 25-19, 25-17, 30-32, 25-17.

Against CSE, senior outside hitter Kim Runge (Closter, N.J./Northern Valley Regional-Demarest) posted 16 kills and six digs, and fellow senior outside hitter Megan Maher (Wood-Ridge, N.J./Wood-Ridge) added eight kills and a team-best 11 digs. Junior setter Liz Dykhouse (Wanaque, N.J./Lakeland Regional) tallied 10 assists, nine digs and four kills, and freshman middle hitter Shauna VanDeRee (Waldwick, N.J./Waldwick) had four kills and four block solos.

Against Cedar Crest, Runge again led the way with 17 kills, adding 13 digs. Junior libero Michelle Mitchell (Secaucus, N.J./Secaucus) collected 25 digs, Dykhouse posted 30 assists, 11 digs and seven kills, and VanDeRee put down nine kills. Maher added six kills and six digs, and freshman setter Danielle Koukos (Midland Park, N.J./Midland Park) contributed 11 assists.

William Paterson will open its home schedule Tuesday, Sept. 6, against Brooklyn at 7:00 p.m.
