WILKES-BARRE, PA. – The William Paterson volleyball team saw its season-opening nine-match win streak come to an end with a 3-1 loss at King's (2-5) Sept. 17.  The Pioneers won the opening set, 25-22, but lost the next three by scores of 20-25, 21-25 and 21-25.

Senior outside hitter Kim Runge (Closter, N.J./Northern Valley Regional-Demarest) led WP with six kills, adding 10 digs.  Junior libero Michelle Mitchell (Secaucus, N.J./Secaucus) collected 16 digs, and classmate Liz Dykhouse (Wanaque, N.J./Lakeland Regional) posted 11 assists and six digs.

William Paterson will host Purchase Tuesday, Sept. 20, at 7:00 p.m.
