KINGS POINT, N.Y. – The William Paterson volleyball team improved to 8-0 with a 3-2 victory at U.S. Merchant Marine (3-2) Sept. 13. WP lost the first set, 20-25, but rebounded for scores of 25-17, 21-25, 25-12, and 15-7.

Liz Dykhouse (Wanaque, N.J./Lakeland Regional) posted 23 assists, five digs, two service aces and three blocks. Freshman libero
Lauren Bada (Pemberton, N.J./Holy Cross) paced the Pioneers with 16 digs, senior outside hitter
Kim Runge (Closter, N.J./Northern Valley Regional-Demarest) had 11 kills and 13 digs, and senior outside hitter
Megan Maher (Wood-Ridge, N.J./Wood-Ridge) totaled 11 kills and 11 digs. Freshman middle hitter
Shauna VanDeRee (Waldwick, N.J./Waldwick) chipped in nine kills and freshman setter
Danielle Koukos (Midland Park, N.J./Midland Park) contributed 11 assists.
William Paterson will begin New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) play Thursday, Sept. 15, with a home match against New Jersey City at 7:00 p.m.
