WAYNE, N.J. – The William Paterson tennis team (0-1, 0-1 NJAC) opened its season with a 7-2 loss to visiting Ramapo (3-1, 1-0 NJAC) Sept. 12.

Junior Christina Puleo (Leonia, N.J./Leonia) earned a 6-3, 6-3 victory against Laura Strandberg at first singles. Sophomore Mary Skretkowicz (Midland Park, N.J./Midland Park) and freshman Jessica Daniels (Edison, N.J./Edison) defeated Stephanie Abrecht and Katelynn Wintz at third doubles, 9-7.

William Paterson will play at The College of New Jersey Wednesday, Sept. 14, at 4:00 p.m.
