WAYNE, N.J. – New Jersey City (14-8, 6-4 NJAC) used a 14-2 run early in the second half to help secure a 63-47 victory at William Paterson (12-11, 4-7 NJAC) Feb. 9 in a New Jersey Athletic Conference men's basketball North Division Clash at the Pioneers' Rec Center.

Gabriel Paul (Newark, N.J./Hillside) led William Paterson with 15 points and five rebounds. Sophomore
Mike Henry (Holmdel, N.J./Holmdel) added six tallies and four boards off the bench.
NJCU took a 31-22 lead into the break after connecting on 14 of 32 (.438) field-goal attempts and turning the ball over just four times during the first half. When William Paterson used a Paul three-pointer to make it an eight-point contest less than two minutes into the second stanza (34-26, 18:08), New Jersey City's Walik Albright ignited a 14-2 burst with his fast-break layup. The Gothic Knights were once again efficient from the floor during the second half (12-25, .480), and limited the Pioneers to 38.6 (17-44) percent shooting during the 40 minutes.
Junior Josh Hosang and senior James Livingston each scored 11 points for NJCU. Junior Taquan Abdullah added 10 tallies.
William Paterson will play at Ramapo Monday, Feb. 14, at 5:30 p.m.
