WAYNE, N.J. – William Paterson (5-2) earned a hard-fought 137-103 men's swimming and diving victory against visiting Lehman (1-1) on Parents Appreciation Day Nov. 12 at Wightman Pool.
Junior
Kevin Bleau (Belleville, N.J./Hatboro-Horsham) was a double winner, taking victories in the one-meter (170.55) and three-meter (174.90) dives. Freshman
Donado Dervishi (Garfield, N.J./Garfield) won the 100 breast (1:05.01), senior
Brian Birkbeck (Absecon, N.J./Holy Spirit) touched first in the 1,000 free (11:23.10), and senior
Edward Zappile (Oak Ridge, N.J./Jefferson Twp.) won the 500 free (5:15.35).
Birkbeck, Zappile,
Brian Holmes (Newark, N.J./Science Park) and
Ryan Napolitano (Milltown, N.J./St. Joseph) finished off the team win with a victory in the 200 free relay (1:38.79).
William Paterson will return to action Tuesday, Dec. 6, at FDU-Florham at 6:00 p.m.
