Volleyball Falls in NJAC Tournament First Round

Pioneers Drop 3-0 Decision at Rowan

Senior Kim Runge had six kills at Rowan in the NJAC Tournament first round.

GLASSBORO, N.J. – Sixth-seeded William Paterson (17-11) lost at third-seeded Rowan (15-15), 25-16, 25-12, 25-17, in the first round of the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Volleyball Tournament Nov. 1.

Senior Kim Runge (Closter, N.J./Northern Valley Regional-Demarest) led the Pioneers with six kills, and classmate Megan Maher (Wood-Ridge, N.J./Wood-Ridge) had four kills and a team-best 15 digs. Freshman Katelyn Malloy (Leonia, N.J./Leonia) posted 11 digs, and junior setter Liz Dykhouse (Wanaque, N.J./Lakeland Regional) contributed seven assists and eight digs.

Krissy Collins led Rowan with 12 kills, Lauren Ruffalo had 20 digs, and Kelsey Donovan pitched in 28 assists and 15 digs.
