TROY, N.Y. – William Paterson (15-6) split a pair of matches during a volleyball tri-match at Sage Oct. 15.  The Pioneers defeated Medgar Evers (0-17), 25-6, 25-8, 25-4, and lost to the host Gators (12-17), 23-25, 24-26, 18-25.

Against Medgar Evers, senior Kim Runge (Closter, N.J./Northern Valley Regional-Demarest) paced the Pioneers with 11 kills and seven digs.  Junior setter Liz Dykhouse (Wanaque, N.J./Lakeland Regional) had 11 assists and two service aces, and freshman Danielle Koukos (Midland Park, N.J./Midland Park) added 10 assists.  Senior outside hitter Megan Maher (Wood-Ridge, N.J./Wood-Ridge) chipped in nine kills and five digs.

Against Sage, Maher had 17 kills and 10 digs, while Runge contributed 15 kills and 15 digs.  Dykhouse dished 13 assists, and junior libero Michelle Mitchell (Secaucus, N.J./Secaucus) had nine digs.

William Paterson will host Mount Saint Mary Tuesday, Oct. 18, at 7:00 p.m.
