WAYNE, N.J. – The William Paterson volleyball team (2-0) rolled in the first two sets before holding off Mount Saint Vincent (1-1) in the third, securing a sweep in the Pioneers' home opener Sept. 4. WP earned 25-10 and 25-8 victories to start things off before falling behind 10-5 in the third set. After five straight points off the serve of sophomore Kelly Shaw (Wallington, N.J./Wallington), the Pioneers went on to win 25-17 against the Dolphins.

Junior Kim Runge (Closter, N.J./Northern Valley Regional-Demarest) put down a match-high 14 kills, while senior Jillian Bronowich (Secaucus, N.J./Secaucus) had 13 assists. Junior Megan Maher (Wood-Ridge, N.J./Wood-Ridge) contributed 10 assists and seven kills, and Shaw added five kills to her team-best seven digs.

The Pioneers will host Lehman Tuesday, Sept. 7, at 7:00 p.m.
