Keith Woods was named the Coach of the Year, senior
Ali Ruddy (Wayne, N.J./Wayne Valley) was selected as the Defensive Player of the Year and freshman
Alyssa Falduto (Nutley, N.J./Nutley) was named the Goalkeeper of the Year when the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) announced its annual women's soccer awards Nov. 3.

Ashley Grabowski (Woodbridge, N.J./Woodbridge) and sophomore forward
Michelle Marabondo (Kenvil, N.J./Roxbury) on the All-NJAC First Team. Sophomore midfielder
Laela Brock (Paramus, N.J./Paramus) and senior midfielder
Kathleen Maggi (New Milford, N.J./New Milford) earned spots on the All-NJAC Second Team.
The 1997, 1998 and 2009 (co) NJAC Coach of the Year, Woods is 153-89-22 in his 14th season at the helm of the William Paterson women's soccer program, leading the Pioneers to a pair of NCAA Tournament appearances (1997-98) and winning the 2009 ECAC Metro Tournament title. This fall, he has mentored a William Paterson program that is 11-3-4 overall and 7-1-1 in league play. The second seed in the NJAC Tournament, the Pioneers had a 15-match unbeaten streak this fall (Sept. 5 – Oct. 23) and registered two 1-0 wins against ranked opponents in No. 11 Rowan (Oct. 2) and No. 3 The College of New Jersey (Oct. 13).
Ruddy, a two-time second-team all-NJAC selection (2008-09), has started all 18 matches this fall and has collected three goals and one assist for seven points. The Sept. 21 NJAC and ECAC Metro/Upstate Defensive Player of the Week, Ruddy has started 67 of 70 career matches and has posted 11 goals and 10 assists.
Falduto has started 15 of 16 matches as a freshman this fall, compiling a 0.83 goals-against average, a .794 save percentage and eight shutouts. The Oct. 18 NJAC and ECAC Metro/Upstate Defensive Player of the Week, she is tied for fourth on the William Paterson single-season and career shutouts lists. Falduto ranks tied for second in shutouts, third in GAA and shutouts/match (0.50), and fifth in save percentage in the conference.
An honorable-mention all-NJAC pick a year ago, Grabowski has started all 18 matches and contributed a goal and two assists this season. The junior has started 42 times in 58 career matches, collecting four goals and eight assists.
Marabondo leads William Paterson with 13 goals, seven assists and 33 points this fall, providing six game-winning goals while starting all 18 matches. Second in game-winning goals, third in points, points/match (1.83) and goals/match (0.72), tied for third in goals, tied for fourth in assists/match (0.39) and tied for fifth in assists in the NJAC, she has compiled 23 goals, eight assists and 54 points while starting in all 39 career matches.
Brock is a first-time honoree after tying for second for the Pioneers with nine points (4 g, 1 a) this fall, starting all 18 matches and contributing two game-winning goals. A starter in all 41 career appearances, the outside midfielder has collected six goals and five assists in two seasons.
An honorable-mention all-NJAC pick a year ago, Maggi has started all 18 matches as the Pioneers' defensive central midfielder this season. During her career, she has started 45 of 68 matches, posting two goals and five assists for nine points.
Second-seeded William Paterson (11-3-4) will host third-seeded Rowan in the NJAC Tournament semifinals Wednesday, Nov. 3, at 6:00 p.m.
