William Paterson is 4-3 overall and 3-3 in the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) after a 29-2 loss at Kean (4-3, 4-3 NJAC) Oct. 23.
Sophomore
Ryan Gresik (Newton, N.J./Newton) is 111-for-180 for 1,078 yards, five touchdowns and eight interceptions under center. He also added a rushing touchdown of four yards during the 14-7 win against King's Sept. 18. Gresik ranks fifth in the NJAC in passing yardage (154.0 yards/game) and total offense (162.0 yards/game).
Sophomore tailback
Dawys German (North Arlington, N.J./North Arlington) has carried 77 times for 279 yards (3.6 yards/carry) and two touchdowns.
Junior
Joe Muraglia, Jr. (Belleville, N.J./Queen of Peace) leads the Pioneers with 31 catches (4.4 per game, fifth in NJAC), tallying 306 yards and two touchdowns. Sophomore
Chris Manfredo (Staten Island, N.Y./Tottenville) has gained 286 yards on 22 receptions.
Junior bandit
Doug Dudek (Rockaway, N.J./Morris Hills), the 2008 NJAC Defensive Rookie of the Year as well as a 2009 second-team all-conference pick, leads the Pioneers with 52 tackles (18 solo, 5.0 TFL, 1.5 sacks), adding three pass breakups, two interceptions and one fumble recovery. Jimmie Ray Ragland (Somerset, N.J./Franklin) has 43 stops (26 solo, 5.0 TFL) and an interception.

Dyon Moore (Brooklyn, N.Y./Hudson Catholic) owns 42 tackles (15 solo, 6.0 for loss, 1.5 sacks). Sophomore safety
German Decena (Union City, N.J./Emerson) has 40 stops, four pass breakups (1.00 PD/game, tied-fifth in league) and a team-best three interceptions (0.43 per game, tied-fourth in conference).

Chris Thomas (West Milford, N.J./West Milford) has added 36 tackles to his team-best seven pass breakups (1.00 passes defended/game, tied-fourth in league) and blocked punt, and is averaging 24.8 yards per kickoff return (44th in Division III, second in NJAC). Sophomore linebacker
Luigi Napolitano, Jr. (Morris Plains, N.J./Parsippany Hills) owns 31 tackles (3.5 TFL) and an interception.
William Paterson returned four offensive starters and eight defensive starters from a 2009 team that compiled a 5-5 overall record and a 4-5 mark in NJAC play. The Pioneers, who welcomed back five all-conference selections from a year ago, were predicted to finish fifth in the 2010 NJAC Preseason Coaches' Poll, and were the “dark horse” pick to win the title this fall.
Scouting the Bengals
Buffalo State is 1-6 overall and 1-5 in the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) after a 48-29 loss to The College of New Jersey (3-4, 3-3 NJAC) Oct. 23.
Sophomore quarterback Ryan Lehotsky is 84-for-145 for 1,195 yards, 11 touchdowns and six interceptions this fall. He is second in the NJAC in passing yardage (170.7 yards/game). Classmate Gibran Johnson has gained 267 yards and scored three touchdowns on 72 rushing attempts. Senior Rob Smith has caught 33 passes for 503 yards and four scores, ranking second in the league in receiving yardage (71.9 yards/game) and fourth in receptions (4.7 per game). Freshman Mike Doherty has added five catches for 65 yards to his league-leading 28.5 yard kickoff return average.
Junior defensive back Brandon Hodgins leads the Bengals with 55 tackles (33 solo, 6.5 for loss). Junior linebacker Matthew Krumm has 51 stops (23 solo), and junior defensive back Kevin Healy has added 48 tackles (26 solo), an interception and a team-best four pass breakups.
Buffalo State was 2-8 overall and 2-7 in the NJAC a year ago. The Bengals were picked to finish 10th in the 2010 NJAC Coaches' Preseason Poll.
