TROY, N.Y. – William Paterson (15-5) earned a pair of victories in a volleyball tri-match held at Sage Oct. 16. The Pioneers defeated SUNY Potsdam (6-18), 19-25, 25-23, 25-17, 18-25, 15-9, and the host Gators (4-19), 21-25, 25-22, 25-18, 25-21.

Against Potsdam, junior Megan Maher (Wood-Ridge, N.J./Wood-Ridge) posted a triple-double with 14 kills, 14 assists and 13 digs. Senior Michelle Leeder (Ridgefield, N.J./Ridgefield Memorial) had 16 digs, junior Kim Runge (Closter, N.J./Northern Valley Regional-Demarest) collected 13 kills and 15 digs, sophomore Michelle Mitchell (Secaucus, N.J./Secaucus) tallied 16 digs, and senior Jillian Bronowich (Secaucus, N.J./Secaucus) had 11 assists.

During the victory against Sage, Maher had 15 kills, 16 assists and 14 digs. Sophomore Kelly Shaw (Wallington, N.J./Wallington) contributed seven kills, Bronowich posted 17 assists, and Runge collected 12 kills and 14 digs. Leeder chipped in 15 digs and Mitchell had 13 for the Pioneers.

William Paterson will host Mount Saint Mary Tuesday, Oct. 19, at 7:00 p.m.
