Volleyball Falls to Host Ramapo, 3-0

Pioneers Lose in Straight Sets to Roadrunners

MAHWAH, N.J. – Ramapo (15-2, 5-1 NJAC) pulled away from William Paterson (13-5, 2-4 NJAC) for a 25-15, 25-23, 25-21 volleyball victory Oct. 14.

Junior Kim Runge (Closter, N.J./Northern Valley Regional-Demarest) posted eight kills, 11 digs and four assists, while senior Jillian Bronowich (Secaucus, N.J./Secaucus) had 12 assists and nine digs. Sophomore Kelly Shaw (Wallington, N.J./Wallington) tallied eight kills, and junior Megan Maher (Wood-Ridge, N.J./Wood-Ridge) contributed eight kills and 11 assists.

Junior Michelle Ferrari led the Roadrunners with 18 kills while also recording six digs. Junior Maura Burke tallied 11 kills and collected three total blocks and one service ace. Senior Meagan Taege added 10 kills and a team-high 13 digs, while junior Tiffany Fischer dished out a match-best 39 assists.

The Pioneers will play in a tri-match at Sage Saturday, Oct. 16, facing SUNY Potsdam at 11:30 a.m. and the host school at 1:30 p.m.
