NEWARK, N.J. – Despite victories during two of the three doubles matches, William Paterson (3-3, 0-2 NJAC) was unable to get past host Rutgers-Newark (2-7, 1-3 NJAC) Sept. 23, falling to the Scarlet Raiders by a 6-3 score.

Senior Heidi Busch (Lakehurst, N.J./Manchester Twp.) and freshman Janna Domenico (Hammonton, N.J./Hammonton) were 8-5 winners at second doubles against Lia Salierno and Mercedes Kuilan, and sophomores Kimberly Seabeck (Montague, N.J./Port Jervis) and Meghan Crampton (Branchville, N.J./High Point Regional) combined for an 8-4 win at third doubles against Amanda Northrup and Wanze Li. Seabeck earned the Pioneers' lone singles victory, a 1-6, 6-1, 11-9 decision against Northrup at fifth singles.

William Paterson will take on Baruch Saturday, Sept. 26, at 12:00 p.m. at York College.
