Tim Lucas (Old Bridge, N.J./Old Bridge) added seven points, four assists and a game-high nine rebounds to earn all-tournament team honors.
William Paterson jumped out to a quick 22-8 lead against the Panthers and held Old Westbury to 5-for-25 (.200) shooting during the first half en route to a 31-19 edge at the break. The Panthers found their shooting touch during the second half (17-34, .500) but could not gain much ground on the Pioneers, who were 10-for-22 (.455) from the field during the final 20 minutes to finish the afternoon with a 44.0 (22-50) shooting percentage. WP, which led by double figures for most of the contest, owned a 39-30 edge on the boards.
The Pioneers will host Manhattanville Wednesday, Jan. 6, at 6:00 p.m.
